If you’ve never been to Nashville, you’re in luck. There is plenty to do centered around the Downtown area. From country music, restaurants, history, and sports, there is no shortage of fun in the Music City. Eventually, you must sleep.
Each of the different areas of Nashville has their own unique style. Hotels are no different. Making this list are hotels from the IHG, Marriott and Hyatt brands. Hilton gets an honorable mention at the end.

Best Points Hotels in Nashville
Kimpton Aertson Hotel
Located right outside Vanderbilt University, the Kimpton Aertson Hotel has easy walking access to many of the main sites in Midtown Nashville. The trendy boutique hotel has modern décor and a rooftop pool and bar. Rooms are spacious. The onsite restaurant “Henley” offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Because of IHG’s dynamically priced awards, the more expensive the room the more points you can expect to use. Cash prices vary from $350 to nearly $500.
Holiday Inn Express Nashville Downtown Conference Center
The Holiday Inn Express Nashville Downtown Conference Center is located on the far end of Broadway. You can still easily walk to restaurants, bars and other sites. Like all Holiday Inns, you get free breakfast when booking direct with IHG. The hotel also offers an outdoor pool. If you are visiting during colder months, expect the pool to be closed.
Like the Aertson, you can expect rewards nights to be dynamically priced. During slower months, you might be able to find nights priced as low as 23,000. High season points nights can be found for almost 70,000 IHG points per night. Cash rates can be reasonable around $150 each night. If there is an event, cash rates will be over $500 each night.
The Union Station Nashville Yards, Autograph Collection
The next property on this list is located in a converted train terminal. Rooms are modern and spacious inside. The architecture takes you back to the Gilded Era. The Union Station is right off of Broadway. Each room is a tad bit different in layout since the train terminal was built in 1900. The hotel offers free tours covering the history of the Union Station. I stayed at this hotel in 2018 and loved my stay.
There is a wide range of cash prices. Nights will range from $204 to $600. If you use points on the more expensive nights, here’s what you can expect from Marriott.

Holston House Nashville
Another Hyatt hotel on this best points hotels list is the Holston House Nashville. This boutique hotel is located right off Broadway. I’ve previously stayed at this property and found the rooms great but the staff lacking. The base room is fantastic. Noise level was non-existent even though the hotel was fully booked. During summer months, you can enjoy the rooftop pool.
This is an Unbound Collection hotel from Hyatt. If you need one of these brands for your Hyatt Brand Explorer, this would be a great option. Weekday cash prices are usually below $200. Weekend cash prices can be over $400.

One of my favorite Hyatt brands is Thompson. The Thompson Nashville is no different. In fact, I’ve had the pleasure of staying here previously. The hotel is in The Gulch area of Nashville. You can easily walk to restaurants and bars, but if you want to explore other parts of the city. You’ll want to take a rideshare.
This is a luxury property. Points and cash prices show it. You’ll typically pay $250 each night. During the summer months, cash nights rise to over $400 per night. Points prices are below.

How to Earn These Points
Marriott is a transfer partner of both Marriott and American Express. I wouldn’t recommend transferring your flexible points. Instead, focus on earning Bonvoy points through cobranded cards. Cards like the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card and Marriott Bonvoy Business™ American Express® Card can quickly add to your points totals.
Hyatt points on the other hand are easy to earn. Since Hyatt is a Chase travel partner, you can easily transfer Ultimate Rewards points for your redemptions. That means cards like the Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase Ink Business Cash can easily cover your hotel nights.
Hyatt also partners with Chase for their cobranded cards. Finish the welcome offers on both the personal World of Hyatt card and business credit card, you’ll easily have enough points for a weeklong stay.
IHG is a brand that doesn’t get talked about a bunch. Their cobranded cards with Chase are solid and typically have great welcome offers. You can get the welcome offers on both personal cards.
Before using points, always check the valuation of our points redemptions.
Best Points Hotels in Nashville Bottom Line
While Hilton didn’t make this list, luxury hotel fans should listen up. A Conrad is expected to open in May 2022. There are plenty of other Hilton hotels in Nashville, but due to the brand’s dynamic pricing it can be hard to find deals.
Marriott, IHG and Hyatt all have a presence on this list. Each brand has other hotels in the suburbs or downtown. Those could also present some great redemptions. The ones on this list are (mostly) luxury properties and centrally located.
