The southwestern Spanish city of Seville is known for its music and historical sites. In fact, Seville is considered the birthplace of flamenco. The city dates back to the 700s. There is a mix of historic and modern buildings, museums, and tapas.

Hyatt fans will be sorely disappointed in this list. As of writing, there are currently no Hyatt hotels in the region.

Best Points Hotels in Seville

Hotel Alfonso XIII, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Seville

Hotel Alfonso XIII was commissioned by the King of Spain back during the 1929 Exhibition. The hotel is located in the historic section of Santa Cruz near the Seville Cathedral. This luxury property from Marriott has décor and architecture highlighting the Seville culture.

Cash rates vary widely. You find anything between $300 and over $1,000 per night. Depending on the award rate, you’ll easily be able to get value out of your Bonvoy points. The table below shows the points required depending on the redemption.

Hilton Garden Inn Sevilla

The only Hilton hotel making the list is the Hilton Garden Inn Sevilla. There isn’t really anything unquie about this property. You can expect typically Hilton Garden Inn amenities like a breakfast buffet and pool.

I found tons of award availability for as low as 20,000 Hilton Honors points per night. The hotel is in the Norte area of Seville. But you can easily get to site using public transportation.

AC Hotel Sevilla Torneo

Also located in the Norte area of Seville is AC Hotel Sevilla Torneo, but only a 10-minute bus ride to the city center. The 81-room hotel is more of a minimalist property with Spanish influences. After a long day of exploring, there are several places on-site to relax with your favorite beverage.

Rooms rates are mostly under $100 per night. Redemptions rates are below. It’s important to calculate value on this property. When cash prices are low, better to pay cash and save your points.

Hospes Las Casas del Rey de Baeza, Seville, a Member of Design Hotels

The building our next hotel resides in dates back to the 18th century. Guests of the hotel can enjoy a mix of past and present during their stay. The Hospes Las Casas del Rey de Baeza, Seville, a Member of Design Hotels has architecture influences from Arabic and European designs. If you are looking for a more boutique hotel, this one is perfect for you.

Cash rates can vary. You cheaper nights starting at around $150. They can also go as high as $500 a night. When the cash rate is higher, points are a better option. You can also use your Marriott Free Night Award here.

How to Earn These Points

Bonvoy points are easy to earn. There are four current cards from Chase and American Express available for welcome bonuses. A great one to start with is the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Credit Card from Chase. Another great option is the Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express Card. There are some restrictions regarding welcome offers. Make sure to keep that in mind as you plan out your credit card strategy.

You can also transfer to Marriott from Ultimate Rewards. It’s typically not going to be a great value. However, since both AC Hotels require less points, it could be a good use depending on cash prices. Just remember to run a points valuation on the redemption.

Hilton Honors points can be earned easily from American Express. There are three personal cards and one business card. I recommend the Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card or The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card. Both come with a $95 annual fee and Hilton Gold status. That status gets you room upgrades and free breakfast.

Membership Rewards points also transfer to Hilton. But please don’t if points required are high.

Best Points Hotels in Seville Bottom Line

In addition to Hyatt, IHG hotels did not make this best points hotels in Seville list. This is due to the dynamic nature of award pricing. Even with that, don’t disregard the chain. They do have a partnership with Mr & Mrs. Smith hotels. The brand isn’t an official IHG brand, but you can earn and spend IHG points at Mr & Mrs Smith hotels. Both hotels in Seville are great options to consider.

This Hyatt fan is sad to see no options for Hyatt in the city. That is one downside of Hyatt. While Hyatt is expanding, there are currently no plans to open a Hyatt brand in Seville.

One upcoming Marriott property to keep your eye on is Hotel Querencia de Sevilla, Autograph Collection. This will be a category 6 hotel. The property isn’t currently accepting reservations. Depending on cash prices, this might be a great redemption for Bonvoy points.

Of the four brands, Marriott has the biggest presence in Seville. The one luxury property, Hotel Alfonso XIII, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Seville, costs a ton of points per night. Both AC Hotels are reasonable.
