A prominent tourist destination along the Mediterranean Sea, Dubrovnik dates back to the 7th century. The entire city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known as the Pearl of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik is a cultural and historical destination for the region.

The Dalmatian coastal city is known for its Renaissance and Baroque churches, monasteries, palaces and foundations. While the city doesn’t get a ton of tourists like London or Paris, Dubrovnik should be a summer destination on your bucket list.

While the city doesn’t have a ton of points hotels, there are three incredible points hotels in Dubrovnik.

Best Points Hotels in Dubrovnik, Croatia

Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik

The Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik is located centrally in Old Town Dubrovnik. Like the city, the building dates back to 1897. It has a mix of modern styling with period charm. Some rooms have views of the Adriatic Sea and others have views of Old Town. Walkable from the hotel is Pile Gate, the Lovrijenac Fort, and Šulić beach.

Hilton does have dynamic pricing. But if you plan ahead, you can easily find points nights at 70,000 Hilton Honors points.

Sheraton Dubrovnik Riviera Hotel

The next hotel is the Sheraton Dubrovnik Riviera Hotel. This property is located south of Old Town. It only takes about 15 minutes to drive to get here. This waterfront hotel is also near the Bosnia and Herzegovina border. The Sheraton is modern with colorful accents.

This is a great property to use any Marriott 35,000 free night certificates.

Hotel Excelsior Dubrovnik

Hotel Excelsior Dubrovnik isn’t a full-fledged Hyatt hotel. This is a Small Luxury Hotel which partners with Hyatt. You won’t get the full benefits of any Hyatt status you may have. You will however enjoy a room upgrade and free breakfast. Rooms have modern coastal vibes.

If you are a Globalist, you can use Category 1-7 Free Night Awards. But I wouldn’t recommend doing this unless they are expiring.

How to Earn These Points

Hyatt points are very easy to earn. Since World of Hyatt is a Chase transfer partner, all Ultimate Rewards earning cards can help you earn World of Hyatt points. The Chase Sapphire Reserve and the Chase Freedom Unlimited are excellent cards to help beef up your points total. In addition, there are two cobranded Hyatt cards: Chase World of Hyatt Business Credit Card and the personal Chase World of Hyatt Credit Card.

Marriot partners with both Chase and American Express for their US business and personal credit cards. The Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless and Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express Card are two cards that typically have the highest welcome offers. While Marriott is a Chase transfer partner, I wouldn’t recommend transferring without a points valuation. If you can get more than 1.5 points per cent, then transferring is a smart move. Those are few and far between. It’s better to grab the personal and cobranded cards from Chase and American Express.

Hilton Honors points are easy to earn. While you can transfer from American Express, that’s generally a poor use of points. I would really only recommend it if needing a few points to top off an award. Luckily, Hilton has several cobranded cards that offer tons of Hilton Honors points.

Best Points Hotels in Dubrovnik, Croatia Bottom Line

Dubrovnik doesn’t have a lot of points hotels. It’s a small city in Croatia. You might also be able to find hotels on any travel portals you have access to. Hopefully, new points hotels will open in the future.

Each hotel on this list is in a different location. Those locations all have different vibes. You can easily get to other sites in the city with taxis or private drivers.
